This is 3 minutes of musical & technical excellence. This crazy performance involves a homemade drum & what might as well be a steel contra ukelele. Picked this up off Metafilter, the original from 2010 is a powerful example of what one person can create with literally less than a dollar in performance equipment. This kind of traditional use of modern materials to make something totally new is something we don’t see every day. I am certainly not up on Malawi beats, but this is a dance party & a half all by itself. Get grooving on this to get back into it after the long weekend.
